The cause of the late gospel artist Sammie Okposo’s passing has been disclosed by the singer’s family.
Sammie Okposo, who was widely regarded as one of the most influential and important figures in the history of gospel music, passed away today at the age of 51. Before he passed away, he gave performances in a great number of nations in Africa and Europe and was honored with a great deal of praise and accolades for his outstanding musical abilities.
The death of the multi-award winning artist and performer has been met with sadness and condolences by a large number of Nigerians, including his peers in the entertainment sector.
“Sammie slept and went to be with the Lord on the morning of Friday, 25th of 2022,” the family said, citing the family’s account. The family also shared that the departed person is currently rejoicing in heaven with Jesus Christ and angels.
