Governor Kathy Hochul has directed the City University of New York (CUNY) to remove a job posting for a “Palestinian Studies” professorship at Hunter College. The job listing, which included topics such as settler colonialism, genocide, and apartheid, was criticized for promoting antisemitic theories. Hochul also called for a thorough review to ensure that such theories are not promoted in the classroom1. The job posting has since been removed from CUNY’s website.
